This Privacy Policy explains how Unakin Ltd ("Unakin", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, stores and shares
information when you use the Channel 0 mobile application ("Channel 0" or the "App").

  1. Who we are
    Channel 0 is operated by Unakin Ltd.
    For the purposes of applicable data protection laws, Unakin Ltd is the controller of the personal data we collect
    and process through the App.

  2. Information we collect
    We collect only the information needed to provide, secure and improve the App.
    Account information
    When you create an account, we may collect:
    ● Your email address
    ● Your password, which is stored securely in encrypted or hashed form
    ● Your Google account identifier if you choose to sign up or log in with Google
    ● Your Firebase user ID or other internal account identifier
    ● Basic account settings and preferences
    App usage information
    We may collect information about how you use Channel 0, including:
    ● Episodes you watch
    ● Your viewing history
    ● Your watch progress
    ● Episodes you save
    ● App preferences and settings
    ● General interaction information needed to operate core App features
    We use this information to provide features such as continuing an episode where you left off, showing saved
    episodes and managing your account experience.
    Device and technical information
    We may collect limited technical information needed to operate and secure the App, such as:
    ● Device type
    ● Operating system version
    ● App version

    ● Approximate region or country inferred from technical information
    ● Technical logs relating to App requests, authentication, push notifications and video delivery
    Video delivery information
    Channel 0 uses Bunny / bunny.net to host and deliver video content.
    When you stream or access video content in the App, Bunny may process technical information needed to
    deliver that content, such as IP address, request data, device/browser or app technical information, CDN logs
    and network performance information.
    We use this information only to deliver video content reliably, maintain performance and protect the App from
    abuse.
    Firebase authentication
    Channel 0 uses Firebase to support account authentication, including Google sign-in where available.
    Firebase may process account and authentication information such as your email address, Google account
    identifier, Firebase user ID, authentication tokens and technical information needed to keep your account
    secure and allow you to log in.
    Push notifications
    Channel 0 uses Firebase to support push notifications.
    If you choose to allow push notifications, we may collect and store a push notification token so we can send you
    notifications about new episodes, new cases or relevant App updates.
    You can turn off push notifications at any time through your device settings.
    RevenueCat
    Channel 0 uses RevenueCat for purchase and entitlement infrastructure.
    Channel 0 does not currently offer paid subscriptions or paid premium content. However, where RevenueCat is
    included in the App, RevenueCat may process limited technical information, app user identifiers, device
    information, entitlement information and purchase-related information if purchases or subscriptions are
    introduced in the future.
    If Channel 0 introduces paid subscriptions or in-app purchases, we will update this Privacy Policy before or
    when those features become available.

  3. Information we do not collect
    Channel 0 does not currently:
    ● Sell personal data
    ● Use third-party advertising
    ● Use advertising tracking
    ● Use IDFA for advertising
    ● Use third-party analytics tools
    ● Use third-party crash reporting tools
    ● Allow users to upload public content
    ● Allow comments, public profiles, direct messaging or user-to-user communication

    ● Collect precise GPS location data
    ● Knowingly collect data from children under 13

  4. How we use your information
    We use your information to:
    ● Create and manage your account
    ● Let you log in securely
    ● Provide the App and its features
    ● Save your viewing history, saved episodes and watch progress
    ● Stream and deliver video content
    ● Send push notifications, if you have allowed them
    ● Maintain, debug and improve the App
    ● Protect the security and integrity of the App
    ● Respond to support requests
    ● Comply with legal obligations

  5. Legal bases for processing
    Where UK or EU data protection laws apply, we rely on the following legal bases:
    ● Contract: to provide the App and account features you request
    ● Legitimate interests: to maintain, secure, improve, troubleshoot and protect the App
    ● Consent: for push notifications and any optional features that require consent
    ● Legal obligation: where we need to keep certain information to comply with applicable laws

  6. Sharing your information
    We do not sell your personal data.
    We may share limited information with service providers who help us operate the App. These providers may
    include:
    ● Firebase, for authentication and push notifications
    ● Google, where you choose Google sign-in
    ● Bunny / bunny.net, for video hosting and delivery
    ● RevenueCat, for purchase and entitlement infrastructure
    ● Hosting, database and backend service providers
    ● Customer support or operational tools, if used
    These providers are only permitted to process information as needed to provide their services to us.

  7. Analytics and crash reporting
    Channel 0 does not currently use third-party analytics tools or third-party crash reporting tools.
    We may receive limited technical or diagnostic information from platform providers, such as Apple, where this is
    made available to developers as part of normal app operation.

    If we introduce analytics or crash reporting tools in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy to explain what
    is collected, why it is collected and which providers are used.

  8. International transfers
    Some of our service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom or European Economic
    Area.
    Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place, such as
    contractual protections or other lawful transfer mechanisms.

  9. How long we keep information
    We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy
    Policy.
    Our standard retention periods are:
    ● Account information: kept while your account is active
    ● Viewing history, saved episodes and watch progress: kept while your account is active so the App can provide
    these features
    ● Push notification tokens: kept until you disable notifications, log out, delete your account or the token expires
    ● Video delivery and technical logs: usually kept for up to 12 months, unless needed for security, abuse
    prevention or legal reasons
    ● Support emails and support requests: kept for up to 24 months after the issue is resolved
    ● Inactive accounts: if an account is inactive for more than 24 months, we may delete or anonymise the account
    and associated App usage data
    ● Backups: deleted or overwritten in the normal backup cycle, usually within 90 days
    When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your account information and associated personal
    data within 30 days, unless we are required to keep certain information for legal, security or fraud-prevention
    reasons.

  10. Account deletion
    You can initiate account deletion from inside the App by going to:
    Settings - Delete Account
    When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your account information, viewing history, saved
    episodes, watch progress and other personal data associated with your account, unless we are legally required
    to keep certain information.

  11. Your rights
    Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal data, including the right to:
    ● Access the personal data we hold about you
    ● Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
    ● Request deletion of your data
    ● Object to certain processing
    ● Restrict certain processing
    ● Request a copy of your data in a portable format

    ● Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

  12. Children's privacy
    Channel 0 is not intended for children under 13.
    We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected
    personal data from a child under 13, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information.

  13. Security
    We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised
    access, loss, misuse or alteration.
    No app or internet service can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we work to protect your information
    and keep the App secure.

  14. Changes to this Privacy Policy
    We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
    If we make material changes, we may notify you through the App or by other appropriate means. The latest
    version will always be available through the App and/or our website.
